Seasonal Mosses

This is as far in as is worth posting. I did try for some real close ups but definitely need more practice. It was a damp dark day and I was down on my knees in the wet and now I am thinking in order to take decent macro shots I need a new camera with a better viewfinder. I just cannot see what I am taking and what is in focus when it is so close and so dark. I keep trying to do it with my glasses on too and it is all so difficult. Also you really need a tripod which is easier to use down lower. I can put my camera on upside down sort of thing and get low but it is all very fiddly and awkard. Macro is far harder than I ever imagined but I will persevere. I have actually seen advertised some add on viewfinders for macro work. The one I saw was $120. Havn't looked any further yet than the first US site that came up.

Interesting mosses taken with my new macro lens. I am hoping to remember to post a different one of this to 101 textures coming up soon I think

Oh, pretty, mosses and lichens both, very nice. Cool textures and tones.

Did you get even closer?
