Looks like I was up to my old tricks. I know I commented on this but it is not here!
I really like this in b&w and I agree the medium contrast works well. Somehow it almost makes him look gentle and yet he must be far from gentle. But needs must. He has to eat as well as we do!
the same dog who can tear apart a fawn, a rabbit or a woodchuck can be a gentle companion and the same man who can machne gun down a soldier in Iraq can make a gentle father and this hawk is fairly gentle with is falconer.
