Low contrat BW OUTTAKE: Trapped

I was wracking my brain trying to think of something that would be well-served by a low contrast image--I tend generally to prefer high contrast images. It occurred to me that life in a bad marriage may lack luster and seem low contrast. So I thought I'd try that. Posted by Picasa

Yes it could be lack luster and suitable for low contrast but on the other hand it could be full of drama in a bad marriage. Also I think the barbed wire and matted roughed up hair are not lack luster. So I agree that high contrast would work well with this. In my opinion better. I imagine a low contrast BW marriage to be a really boring marriage with a dull routine and highlights would be sitting and watching the tele.
However your brain is certainly thinking about this and working along the right lines! You sure showed me up and made me feel I didn't put enough thought into it.

I thought your bridges were stupendous! And I liked the grass. OK, I get your point, though--Boring marriage woul dbe low contrast, little missus sitting pretty with dull bored eyes. This one high contrast. I'll make it an outtake and try again.

I do think this represents the feelings of despair that I person trapped by abuse feels, though, as I reconsider.

I suppose they must feel that it goes on and on and on and how are they going to get out of it, especially if you have nowhere to go and have kids. So you think of life as being grey.
